APPLICATION Procedure

ELIGIBILITY for joining the school
The school is open to all motivated scientists, of any nationality.
Applicants with little experience in the field should include a recommendation letter of their supervisor.

ELIGIBILITY for COST 2102 SUPPORT

 

COST 2102 supports up to 30 participants coming from COST 2102 Countries as listed on http://www.cost.esf.org/index.php?id=110&action_number=2102 PLEASE CHECK YOUR ELIGIBILITY

 

COST 2102 grants are available for up to 30 PARTICIPANTS. The amount of support would be up to a maximum of 600 EUROS. This support will be paid to the supported students and researchers after the school.

 

This would be a cumulative support for accommodation, living and travel expenses and no receipt are requested.

BUT a necessary and sufficient condition for BEING REIMBURSED is that all the AWARDED participants MUST SIGNS the  ATTENDANCE LIST that will be made available, each day, for all the duration of the school

 

The grant will be attributed by COST 2102 INTERNATIONAL AWARD COMMITTEE composed by:

(a) Anna Esposito, Second University of Naples, Caserta and IIASS, Italy (Chair of COST 2102);

(b) Amir Hussain, University of Stirling, UK (Vice Chair and Grant Holder of COST 2102);

(d) Marcos Faundez Zanuy, University of Mataro, Barcelona, Spain (Secretary of COST 2102 ;

(c) Anton Nijholt, University of Twente, The Netherlands (COST 2102 Management Committee Representative for NL);

 

 

COST 2102 support will be awarded according the following criteria:

a)      Participants will be awarded on the basis of their qualifications, their potential contribution to the school and to COST 2102 Activities, and the benefits that they may draw from the meeting for their future activities. To this aim, applicants should attach a letter justifying their request for support. Young scientists should attach a recommendation letter from their advisor;

b)      All supported participants are expected to remain for the full duration of the meeting, and sign the attendance list of the school each day during the school’s period;

Application form and abstract should be send by e-mail to iiass.segreteria@tin.it,  and to the award committee (iiass.annaesp@tin.it, ahu@cs.stir.ac.uk, faundez@tecnocampus.com,  anijholt@cs.utwente.nl) no later than January 30 2010 .

Notification of the results will be available using an evaluation procedure based on First Come First Served Procedure (FIFO) and any application will be evaluated on its time of arrival up to the end of the funds available for support. The procedure will be close completely for February 15 2010

Applicants will be notified of the amount of support of all supplementary information for joining the school through the FIFO procedure that will expire definitively on February 15 2010.
